Proxy Voting Policies and Voting Records

Franklin Templeton Investments is pleased to provide the proxy voting policies and procedures of its affiliated investment advisors, as well as the proxy voting records of its mutual funds. With years of experience, Franklin Templeton's investment advisors understand that their proxy voting decisions may affect the value of shareholdings. Each investment advisor is committed to fulfilling their fiduciary duty to vote proxies in the best interests of their shareholders. The proxy voting policies and procedures serve as a guideline for proxy voting decisions and detail the process by which such decisions are made.

Important Legal Information
  • If your fund was subject to a merger during the period, you can look up its voting record prior to the merger under its name; after the merger, you should use the surviving fund's name:

    Effective August 24, 2007:
    • Franklin World Health Sciences and Biotech Fund, Franklin World Health Sciences and Biotech Corporate Class and Franklin Technology Corporate Class merged into Franklin Flex Cap Growth Corporate Class
    Effective June 6, 2008:
    • Templeton Global Balanced Fund merged into Templeton Global Income Fund
    • Templeton Balanced Fund merged into Templeton Canadian Asset Allocation Fund. Concurrent with the mergers, Templeton Canadian Asset Allocation Fund changed its name to Templeton Canadian Balanced Fund
    • Franklin U.S. Small-Mid Cap Growth Corporate Class merged into Franklin Flex Cap Growth Corporate Class
    • Bissett Large Cap Fund merged into Bissett Canadian Equity Fund
    Effective June 6, 2008 and June 13, 2008, certain corporate class funds changed their investment objectives and as a result, became fund of funds. If your fund was subject to an investment objective change during the period, you can look up its voting record prior to the investment objective change under its name; after the investment objective change, you should use the underlying fund's name. Below is a list of corporate class funds that changed their investment objectives and their underlying funds:
